Seems like yesterday when I first saw the Maria's Taco wagon on South Lamar. It wasn't long after Maria's moved from the food trailer into a lease space, and now a decade later Maria's is in the restaurant they built. Step by step Maria's has become a South Austin favorite.
People not only visit for the food, but also the laid back atmosphere, the outdoor patio, and they sometimes have live Americana music.

Breakfast taco's are Maria's claim to fame and what initially got them jump started. They serve up your standard breakfast taco's like ham, bacon, chorizo, migas, and some good breakfast plates like huevos rancheros. They also have some great lunch and dinner menu items. The del la casa enchilada plates with eggplant, bell peppers, zucchini... Good fajitas too!
